Miscellaneous: Links

Ah, YouTube. What did busy bloggers do before you?

While fooling around with OnDemand over the weekend I discovered Harold Rosenbaum, Chartered Accountant Extreme. Here’s Chapter One: Audit of Evil.

Further adventures can be found here.

Matt at scrubbles.net recently linked to this piece listing the ten best and ten worst science fiction TV show openings. That got me thinking. What’s the best TV opening of recent memory? Easy. Bruce Campbell’s short-lived series Jack Of All Trades. The episodes never lived up to the song, but a few of them came close.

When watching the credits, Rosemarie would always point out that Jack’s lady friend invented the sports bra.

How the hell did I manage to miss Jack of All Trades?

It was an easy show to miss. Syndicated, and usually aired in the wee hours of the morning. Which only helped, because Jack was a very, very silly program. Goofy may be a better word. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's on DVD now, so you can see for yourself.

I always thought it was Gabrielle in one of Bruce's other regular gigs, Xena, who invented the sports bra...

You know, with this planet renaming business Xena's in the news a lot recently it makes me want to break out the old tapes and watch some of the good ones (more than you'd think) again.
